Golden Quartzite Aggregate & Rockery
Created with the vibrant colours and warm temperatures of
in mind, the RHS Chelsea Flower Show Fresh garden ‘Beneath A Mexican Sky’ by designer Manoj Malde focuses on showcasing beautiful Mediterranean planting within a peaceful space.
Inspired by the Mexican architect Luis Barragan, the colourful garden is built on the idea that green spaces are places of relaxation, calm and refuge that helps to improve people’s wellbeing.
Bright colour-washed walls in pinks and oranges provide an uplifting backdrop to the drought-tolerant planting scheme, which includes a merging of Mediterranean and country cottage style.
Concrete slabs float across a large pool and falling water creates a soothing ripple sound at the edge of the seating area.
Manoj selected Golden Quartzite Aggregate and rockery pieces from CED in his garden, harnessing the warm beige colours to complement the oranges and pinks in his scheme. Beneath A Mexican Sky was awarded a Silver-Gilt medal.
