CED Stone Inspiring Beautiful Landscapes

Purple Wave Standing Stone

A striking white standing stone with bands of purples and violets. This cool toned stone would be perfect to use on its own, or arranged in various sizes. The patterns of purple can be quite inconsistent, with some stones having intricate fine purple lines, and some having large, dominant purple tones and bands, making each one unique.

Purple Wave is a marble based rock, and its glistening, sparking appearance is the result of the stone's limestone base recrystallising through heating by magma intrusion. The magma intrusion also causes the groundwater to boil and force its way through the marble, depositing iron rich haematite minerals in the stone resulting in the marvellous purple bands.
