This garden demonstrates a holistic, sustainable approach to front garden design, responding to the flood risk created by widespread paving. It presents two contrasting solutions: DIY retrofitted sustainable drainage and rainwater harvesting for existing gardens, and readymade SuDS with permeable paving for new designs. Suitable for both free-draining sandy soils and poorly drained clay, the gardens prioritise water, planting, and nature. CED Stone supplied CEDEC® self-binding footpath gravel, which forms a firm yet porous surface that retains moisture while allowing excess water to drain freely.
