Details
This garden follows the journey of an ecotourist on a gorilla trek, guiding visitors along a rugged path through richly layered landscapes either side of a Protected Forest boundary wall.
Key features include a shaded medicinal garden beneath eucalyptus and banana trees, a local craft kiosk, a lifelike gorilla nest set among bamboo and food plants, and a dramatic waterfall with a viewing rock surrounded by high-altitude planting. CED Stone supplied Highland Cobbles for the drystone walling, as well as the large boulders used to form the waterfall.
The garden highlights the vital role of collaboration in conservation, placing people at the heart of protecting nature. Designed with sustainability at its core, the garden will be relocated after the show to the Eden Project in Cornwall, which also provided the majority of the planting.
