The “Where There’s Water, There’s Life” garden marks the 30th anniversary of the Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) and showcases designer Rachel Bailey’s vision for a landscape where water, people, plants, and wildlife thrive in harmony. The garden highlights the essential role of water in sustaining life, using thoughtful design strategies to conserve resources and boost biodiversity.
A rain garden, a green-roofed pergola, and a playful ephemeral rill that feeds into a pond work together to slow, filter, and encourage the natural infiltration of water, creating a soothing sanctuary for both visitors and wildlife.
CED Stone Group supplied the Gabbro Boulders and the Reclaimed Kerb incorporated throughout the scheme, helping to anchor the garden’s character with robust, sustainable materials.
Celebrated for its commitment to ecological design and craftsmanship, the garden has earned awards recognising its excellence in sustainable landscaping.
