A garden that encourages wildlife can also be beautiful, easy to create and maintain.

This design shows two styles of garden that can be shared with nature, one shady and the other dry, sunny and drought tolerant.

Shade is created by small trees that provide food and habitat for birds and insects. This is underplanted with ferns and shade loving plants, giving ground cover for invertebrates which in turn supply food for birds and small mammals.

The dry area includes flowers and sub-shrubs that are sources of pollen and nectar for insects whilst their seeds are food for birds in winter.

CED Stone Group supplied Scottish Beach Cobbles and the large Yellow Paddlestones for the pathway.
