Details

The garden is inspired by the medicinal herb colony on the eastern slopes of Jirisan, known as Korea’s “mother mountain” and home to rare alpine and native medicinal plants.

Layered rocks supplied by CED Stone recreate the mountain landscape, forming streams and creating a protective, moisture-rich environment for plants. These stones shelter delicate species and help maintain humidity during dry periods.

Native planting includes the endangered Filipendula formosa Nakai, whose pink flowers provide a focal point, alongside trees, herbs and edibles valued for their healing properties.

At the mountain’s base stands a traditional herb-drying tower, built using Korean techniques with walls formed from Gabbro rock supp and soil, reflecting the region’s long history of natural medicine.

CED Stone also supplied Rounded Flint Pebbles, CEDEC Red footpath Gravel and Golden Flint Gravel.
