Porphyry Setts & Edging
We supplied the Italian porphyry to this project which really does give it character. Throughout‚ porphyry provides a kerbline definition but its interesting use laid in arcs takes the eye. It is good to see British contractors beginning to be able to lay in this way. Other excellent examples are Chester and Newbury Market Place.
The format provides greater strength in vehicular use‚ most significantly of course when laid unbound‚ by eliminating the planes of weakness associated with laying in straight lines.
