Westside Plaza, Edinburgh

This project was for the creation of a new landscaped area around the main entrance to Westside Plaza Shopping Centre in Edinburgh. The work includes for relaxing seating spaces, improved access and a children's play section.

Our supply of European granites included for flame textured, silver grey seating and planter edges. Sections and cube seats are interspersed across the area in a decorative design. Edge, transition and end cope sections were also supplied again in flame textured silver grey granite. The step areas which give much improved access are shot blasted with 25mm nosings and include inlayed black basalt shot-blasted visibility strips.

We also supplied horizontal, vertical and "L" shaped plinth cladding units as well as full sized plinth sections and a special Model Map Plinth. Factory tolerances of ±1mm on all dimensions for the bench edge sections, that are radiused and angled, has allowed for them to all fit seamlessly and snugly together.
